Cheyenne, WY
Cowboy Page

Wireframe

For the Cheyenne Cowboy Culture page, this wireframe was designed to celebrate the city’s Western heritage while making its rodeo scene more visible and accessible to visitors. The layout opens with a strong, immersive hero to immediately set the tone, followed by curated attractions, cultural highlights, and educational “Did You Know?” moments that reinforce Cheyenne’s identity as a cornerstone of authentic cowboy culture.

Content is organized to balance inspiration with action. Featured attractions and blog content help users dive deeper into experiences like ranch visits and rodeo tips, while the dedicated events section prominently showcases Cheyenne Frontier Days and other Western-themed gatherings. Clear calls to action and structured card layouts guide users toward planning tools and event details, supporting both awareness and trip conversion.

The primary goal of this page is to elevate recognition of Cheyenne’s rodeo scene, positioning it not just as a single annual event, but as an integral part of the city’s year-round culture. By connecting storytelling, historical context, and event-driven content, the experience encourages visitors to see Cheyenne as a must-visit destination for authentic Western and rodeo experiences.

Mock Up

This website was designed to celebrate and bring awareness to Cheyenne’s rich rodeo culture and Western heritage. The goal was to create an immersive digital experience that feels authentic, energetic, and rooted in tradition while still being modern and easy to navigate.

To increase engagement, I designed an interactive “Did You Know?” section featuring a custom deck of illustrated cards that flip over to reveal fun facts about Cheyenne. This playful interaction adds movement to the page while encouraging users to explore local history in a memorable way.

I also designed a series of old-fashioned rodeo posters to showcase events in the area. Inspired by vintage Western print styles, these posters reinforce the theme of the site and visually highlight key attractions like rodeos, live music, and frontier days. The cohesive typography, textured backgrounds, and hand-illustrated elements help unify the entire experience.

As a result, the webpage creates a strong visual identity for Cheyenne’s rodeo scene, increases user interaction through engaging micro-interactions, and presents local attractions in a way that feels both informative and culturally immersive. The final design balances storytelling and usability—encouraging visitors to explore, attend events, and connect more deeply with the spirit of the Old West.
